Default Re: Where´s the new Varifi plugin?

Hello. Hey guys, my bad, I went back to make sure my regular (non HDX system) had the new Vari Fi plug in and it does not. The way you can tell if it is installed is by checking your plug ins list. If you have the new plug in installed it will be in the Avid folder, then Audio, then it'll be VariFi.aax with a timestamp of Dec 20, 2011. You'll probably also have it in the Digidesign folder, VariFi.dpm with a timestamp of Dec 20, 2011.

If your system doesn't have an Avid folder in Application Support, or if your timestamp says VariFi.dpm Dec 20, 2009 in the Digidesign folder, then it is the old plug in. I guess only HDX systems have it then.

I don't want to bring this up again, but frankly for this upgrade price I would like to have more care towards hd users.

With all these big marketing around AAX we've yet to see that huge changeover. If Avid does not care so much about it, then what should we wait from 3rd parties? I know, some of them is faster than the huge mothership...

It probably got added in the 10.1 release, which was for HDX compatibility. I'm sure that it will show up in the next release for the rest of us on HD and native systems.

The 10.0.1 update still doesn't contain the new VariFi plug-in.

The 10.1 update (only for hdx users) contains the new version, but the rest of the world should wait? I'm sure I'm not the only one who cannot understand Avid's policy...
They should've made a good example on how fast they provide us the AAX versions of their plugins, now it seems that most of the third parties will be ready and Avid will still wait for something.

Well... I am with Pro Tools 10.0.1 Native... with old Vari-fi... ok... no problem with that... until I use it...

Instead of working as it always worked, it starts now 1 octave (approximadally) down that it used to do before!

Why?

Thanks...

YES! Vari-Fi is working weird. It processes the whole file and it's not doing what it used to, even if you change the preferences to clip by clip or any other of the available options

What's up with that? How do you go back to how it used to work?

HELP!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but my dealer told me 10.0.1 was an update for native users (HDn) and 10.1 for HDX. I guess The HDX version (10.1) is the only updated version that includes the AAX updates plugins at the moment.
