Export to MP3 Hang-up

Hi All

Am new on hear and to Pro Tools. Possibly foolishly am using it on a PC and only have SE but dont realy have any great demands to put on it, edditing conference spoken word audio mostly.

I have activated the MP3 plug in and purchaced the registarion key. Importing MP3 files is fine, but when I come to export them the file hangs as it is exporting. Not always at the same time. I is quite long (52 min) but only one channel of audio. Initialy it was due to the PC going to sleep, cured that but the longest it has got through has been till about 23 min. Any thoughts. I have searched this but not seen any soloutions that I completely understand.

Interface is M-Audio Fast Track, PC Is soney Vaio running Win 7 Home, 64 bit. i7 2.8Ghz processor 6GB ram so plenty quick enough.
