Default The audio device buffer underflowed.

When simply trying to play the demo session (The Legion), I get the dreaded -6085 error, with this message: The audio device buffer underflowed. If this occurs frequently, try decreasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine panel or remove other devices from the audio firewire bus.

This system doesn't have a firewire bus. I'm using a USB MBox 2 Mini and MOTU micro lite. Aside from the iLok, I've tried it with all other USB devices unplugged or turned off. I've tried decreasing the HW buffer size, as the dialog suggests, which doesn't help, but does cause audio clipping, and eventually, the same dialog. I tried turning off the wireless network adapter, but that didn't help. I have the session loaded on my D drive (a 2nd internal hard drive). Also tried loading the session on an external USB hard drive, which also didn't help. The only option I can think to try is to put the session data on an external sata drive, but I don't have one to test that with. Would it help? What else should I look at?

Running on a new PT9 dedicated HP dv7 with Intel i7 processor @ 1.6 gHz, 6 GB memory, two hard drives, 64 bit Windows 7, Mbox 2 Mini audio.
