There is a video on You Tube where they compare m1 vs m2 vs m3 for use with different daws including pro tools. Shockingly the winner was:

Here is a benchmark screen shot of the m1 ultra chip vs m3 max:
At the moment, the m1 ultra chip might be a better bang for the buck than the m3 max. There is no m3 ultra chip at the moment but may be coming soon. Keep in mind that currently, pt will only access the performance chips. Ej |
