Default Breakout cable for Avid Mbox Pro 3

Hi guys,
I've got a problem with my Mbox Pro 3 sound interface - can't find the breakout cable anywhere, so I've got to buy a new one.

Could anyone please advise me which model I should purchase? Also, should it be balanced or not (I need it for connecting the MIDI cables to work with my MIDI keyboard)?

Would be grateful for any recommendations.

Almost next door!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Breakout-C...gAAOSwajVUSChC

PS – some Mbox Pro3 people just use an USB-2 cable to connect their keyboard to their computer (without using the MIDI plugs)

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...ble-Connectors
The Breakout cable has 6 connectors:
• MIDI Input
• MIDI Output
• Clock Input
• Clock Output
• S/PDIF Input
• S/PDIF Output
All of the connectors on the Breakout Cable have input or output identifiers stamped into them. While the MIDI and Clock connectors have "IN" and "OUT" the S/PDIF connectors have "S/P I" and "S/P O"

Ask the eBay Seller if the above IN-OUT markings are on his/her cables.

Thanks for the answer.

As for USB, you mean that no connection with Mbox is required at all, and I should just connect my PC and my keyboard using a MIDI-to-USB cable?

Not a MIDI-to-USB cable.

My Axiom Pro 49 keyboard is connected to my laptop with a Type-A Male to Type-B Male USB 2.0 cable that looks like this:

I’m not using the Mbox3’s MIDI ports to connect my keyboard – these ports can be used to connect additional MIDI hardware, if required.

(My laptop is connected to my Mbox3 with a SIIG FireWire 2-Port Express Card).

Unfortunately, still no results, no shipment from ebay.

I've been advised to purchase a breakout cable for M-Audio 1010LT, presumably it is quite the same as the original one for Avid Mbox Pro 3.

Could anyone confirm or disapprove it?

Thanks

I think something else is going on. I have 2 Keyboards. 1 and old synth and the other a newer midi controller. Midi controller is connected via mbox breakout midi cables and old synth via normal usb printer type cable

Either way both work as a midi controller and can be used to control virtual instruments

There's a question in my mind is if you can use MMC transport, slave you're bpm ,apprigtator etc if not using a mbox break out cable cable to be slaved from the mbox. This has to do mainly if your having need of controlling another's device midi clock or slave pro tools (uncommom) the very reason I choose to hook my more expensive midi controller to the mbox interface. So I can slave the bpm and use the advance transport a cc items in the correct timing
