Question Windows 7 system image, any good?

Hi

As you can see from my other thread my pro tools 9 went up the spout, so ive had to reformat my drive and rebuild. which is a right pain. So from advice from people on here they have suggested making a system image.

I have used windows 7 to do this which has also made a boot disc of the image so if i have problem again i can restore back to this.

Just curious if this is good enough for a back up, any one out there know about this

Thanks in advance

Heya...!

Back up! Back up! Back up! This is so important regarding all that work you can loose...suddenly whith no reasons.
So many people say: If I knew I'd have make a back up! Tough! Too late.
I don't really know about MS Win7 backup routine. Acronis True Image is a very good software, user friendly, quite cheap. It saved my life many times.
If you ever switch to Mac, Time Machine (included in OSX) is very efficient aswell.

+1 for Acronis. I have used both that, and the Win7 feature(which works but is way more limited). True Image Home 11 with the Plus Pack is the hot setup.
