Default Is there a new ASIO driver with PTLE 7?

Was an updated ASIO driver released with PTLE 7?

Thanks in advance,

I believe so. When looking at the digiasio.dll properties on this setup, it says version 7.0.

This is not actually the driver. More likely it is the Pro Tools interface to ASIO.

It is my understanding that the digiasio.dll file IS the asio driver for the digi hardware. The pro tools application DOES NOT use asio whatsoever, and therefore makes use of no plugin or interface to ASIO. Perhaps we're having a symantec communication issue...but that's how I've understood it these very many years it's been around...

Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I presently use PTLE 6.4 on a Digi002R with several other audio/video apps and I'm hopeful that several bugs have been addressed. Particularly problems with SONAR, the Mackie Control Universal and an M-Audio MIDI interface.

I just received my upgrade email today and I'm downloading PTLE 7 as I write. I've got a brand new dual-core Pentium box I'm going to be installing it on, so it should be fun.

Thanks again,

Is it possible to let the ProTools LE Application use ASIO (or CoreAudio too) ?
Not to run competitive hardware, but then PT versions later than 6.4 could be used
on hardware like Digi 001. The DAE is not supporting 001 anymore.

I guess there will be more excellent hardware from Digi that will be regarded as legacy
from their standpoint but still in use out here.

Well, 001 is ASIO compatible already, isn't it? Make an audio option in LE to choose driver then.

Best of all would be a native DAE but that just seem to be impossible.
Wonder how M-Powered versions manage to support so many different hardware products in M-Audio product line. Some of them (though being updated/refined), I belive has been around at least as long as 001.
