Might have discovered something. Do you have a USB interface to test?? For my problem it seems I cannot repro it on a USB interface. Just tried my eleven rack as the interface and it would not do it. Switch the playback to my fireface and it would. I think your on a 003. Might be interesting to try if you have it.

Yes, I did! Maybe you missed it, but I think a page back I mentioned that I updated my living room computer to 10.2 and it didn't have the problem. Well, on that computer I run an Mbox Micro! So your theory may be on point, although I tested it on a completely different computer!

Cool, might be worth the try for the sake of troubleshooting to run your micro back there and check. Or maybe even check it with your on board audio since its 10 and will run on that.

Hmmm, even with Waves removed, 10.2 still seems pretty laggy for me, even on a modest session, and the plugin GUI's are glitching a bit, mainly the Digi Eq! Gonna sit 10.2 out!

Hey DTS, what's you guys' stance on keeping Windows up-to-date? I always see guys on here saying not to update Windows if your system is stable. I haven't updated Windows 7 in probably a year. I have 66 important updates recommended. What should I do?

I think I may be experiencing the same issue, but on a Mac:

I have the same noise in PT 10.3.2 on Imac 2.16 running 10.6.8
Fireface 400
Any one of 4 diff drives and no plugs at all.
Really bad in the phones!!
Why doesn't AVID fix this!
They must know about it.
VERY aggravating to say the least.......

Sadly, I got this burst the first time after updated to 10.3.2. on one system

The file I made a destructive recording to had this burst after the recording.
During record it was not hearable.

Waves 9 installed

Is this a resolved issue? Or is there a solution? I've only been using PT 10 for a month. I have the noise bursts. It seems to be happening at the end of a bounce, or when hitting stop during playback. When it's a quick burst, I cant tell where it's coming from. But when the burst shows up and stays, the noise is coming from a stereo bus that has an EQ7 and D-Verb on it.

I'm on Windows 7. ProTools 10.3.7
