ASIO DRIVER FOR mBOX?

I heard somewere that there was a mac ASIO driver availble for the mBox. Is this true? Anyone know were to find it? Searched high and low and came up empty

Hello. The Digidesign ASIO driver is Windows only.

The MacOS 9 ASIO driver for the Digi001 works perfectly for the Mbox... but again, is OS 9 only. If you need it for that OS version, just search the Downloads section for the 001, you'll find it. There's no ASIO driver for OS X.

Hello. Yes the Digidesign driver is for XP only. So it wouldn't be on Digidesign's downloads page. However, back in the day I believe they had a link. So you can try the usb audio link or this little tidbit from the answerbase

ASIO compatibility information for Digi 001 and Audiomedia III hardware (Mac OS only)

The following items must be installed:

-DigiSystem INIT (DSI) v5.1-----System Folder>Extensions Folder
-Direct I/O v5.1 -----System Folder>Extensions Folder
-Digidesign ASIO Direct I/O driver -----ASIO drivers folder

On Steinberg's site I found an ASIO driver for Digi001. Works with my mBox. If anyone's intrested here is there driverbase site which has ASIO drivers for most everything:

just rember to start pro tools then reason and to quit in oppisite order if your using both at once. It wouln't allow you to play back on both at once though.
