23.976 session to DA98
Hi,
I've been asked for a delivery of a 23.976 session to a DA98 running at 29.97 I know that's the same speed, but what is the proper way to do this? If I leave the session at 23.976 it won't slave to the 29.97 DA98. If I change the session to 29.97 everything on the timeline shifts slightly from its original timecode location. Any hints would be appreciated. tia, jim |

Re: 23.976 session to DA98
hhmm...
well, it shouldn't. what you are seeing is the ruler behind the regions changing. as you know, there are now more frames. but what is at 01:14:00:00 is still at 01:14:00:00 on either timline. if you put your sub counter on minutes and seconds, you will see that things do not change against REAL TIME (clock time). UNLESS, you have many regions and you are in Tick mode and not Sample mode.

Re: 23.976 session to DA98
Thanks Tom - I was putting the session in 29.97DF and that's where the timeline misadjustment came from. You're right if I put it in 29.97NDF nothing moves (at least on the seconds).
