Default pro tools 10/11R/mbox 3 question

i used PT 8.5 for a couple years and i recently upgraded this past few months.

PT10 is great and I like all the new stuff added but for some reason i just get more latency and pops and i find myself adjusting a lot more than when i was on PT 8....not all the time but it happens.

do any previous PT 8 users find that PT 8 was more stable than 10?

just wondering. thanks.

One guy's 2 cents worth....I had no complaints about 8, and I have no complaints about 10. BUT to be fair, I was running 8 on an XP machine with a core-2 duo and 2 gigs of ram. That system would likely have not run 10, even if I had wiped XP and installed Win 7. My long-winded way of saying I built a new, PT10 specific Win 7/64 bit machine with an i7, 24 gb ram, etc. So, it also works splendidly.
Just make sure your machine meets the requirements. It wouldn't hurt to put up a Sandra report for us.

Well said^^^. Each major update includes a lot more goodies, but needs more horsepower to run properly
