Default Hard drives

I was running ptle on a ibm deskstar dtla-307045 and it failed, which seems to be a specific problem with that particular hard drive. Anyway my question is what hard drive would you guys recommend for replacement? (i have since transfered my system over to a seperate hd.)
Also i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem where their d-verb authorization disk wouldn't work the second time after a situation like a crash?

Hi,
Sorry about the drive problems.

Personally I'm running a 40GB Maxtor drive for my audio drive and it's been just fine for me.

IBM 60GXP 60GB 7200rpm ATA100 for around 130.00 here. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...ion=22-145-003

I have a Maxtor and IBM and the IBM is awesome. Good luck.

Seagate drives rock! I could be partial to them, cuz they are based here in MN, but I would say that they are considered a standard.

Yeah I'm thinking of getting Seagate Cheetahs for my new daw. Can someone tell me which is better a SCSI, Raid, or ATA controller Card?

Hey rdpete, do you work for dawbox.com? If so can you help me out in building a Daw for digi?
