Default VCA on MONITORS SC48????

Can I use VCAs say on aux 1-2 for my lead singer? Or do I have to make his mix main out L-R?

I do it all the time... in fact I have a habit of changing VCA assignments from song to song.... I tend to use a few of them them for things I need to cue without snapshots... guitar in song #1, keys on song 2 etc.
