Default pro tools 8 channel presets

Im a newb just throwing that out there now, but how do you choose a channel strip preset? or how do you even view them? I am not talking about the plug ins which you can select (eq, compressor, etc) but I am talking about how you can choose a preset for a specific track.

can anyone please help or point me to an existing thread?!?!?!

There is no "strip preset" function in Pro Tools(wish there was). The solution can be done in at least 2 ways. 1- create a session template. That means create a new session. Load in the tracks that you will normally want. Insert the plugins that you like to use(even adjust the settings if you like) and then go to File>Save as Template. Now the nest time you want to start a new project. Create your new session from that template and it will have all the goodies ready to go. Option #2 is to simply save the session as I described, with all your stuff in place, and you could name it "strip presets" or anything else that makes sense. Then, whenever you need one of those tracks "with everything", use the Import Session Data function.
