Default Suggestions for a good high-pass \"telephone\" effect for VO?

Try as I might I haven't found something that sounds just right to my ears. I've tried experimenting with the T-RackS EQ (too thin), the 7-Band EQ (too much sizzle) and I also have FabFilter's Volcano plugin, which comes close but not close enough.

Nothing, though, sounds as perfect as a Scientific Filter High-Band effect I use in Adobe Audition. It has the right amount of fat, buzzy-but-smooth distortion that sounds ideal and that I'd like to use in my Pro Tools sessions.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Export clip, process in Audition, import to PT, mix, client collects project. Simple.

Of course this had occurred to me, but that's not exactly efficient. I want something that will work within Pro Tools.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Speakerphone is ideal and did I mention awesome? A bit on the pricey side at $500, but it looks to be worth it.
Guess I'll start saving up.

some good suggestions here already, and indeed Speakerphone is awesome.

Can Audition be use via Rewire? thats still more or less within Pro Tools.

I guess I might as well mention using an actual phone if possible.

Well, I was using the term "telephone effect" only as a general descriptive so folks would know what I meant.
I'd also reiterate that the effect must fully be within Pro Tools for on the fly inspiration.
Speakerphone fits the bill beyond perfectly, as it not only fulfills my sonic wish but also gives me extensive sound design capabilities.
I just have to save up for it.
