Last year's $3000.- 733MHZ can be bought for $1200.- or less. You just lost 1800.- in 1 year.

That P3 could be made for $1200.- and if you decide to change the MOBO and CPU along with Memory, you can just upgrade it for 3-400 dollars. It will perform faster than the fastest MAC. So see ya!!!

I'd rather play & record 'music', than tweak or run bench tests.

According to Allens response, my $2000 PC is now only worth $200-300.... that's $1800 less too..... also, that $3000 down $1200 Mac, will hold it's value a hell of a lot longer than ANY PC I have ever seen...which do you think is the better value?

$2000.-?????

When did you buy it?

I do not tweak anything at all with my system right now. I just make music w/o running out of power. . I did some tweaking at the beginning for a day. It did not take me shorter to tweak my friends G4 867. You had to trim down all the extensions and do some tweaking. And you know what??You can not even run a few Bomb Factory plugs together. It just frustrates me so much after my machine. You will see.
