Default How to delete Empty tracks in one click?

I have 100 tracks, and maybe 80 tracks of them are empty tracks and they are spreader among this 100 tracks.
I wonder if there's a way to delete all empty tracks in one click? or to only display empty tracks so I can multi-select and delete in one click?

No (despite all other DAWs being able to do this.)
It has been requested often.

Attempted workarounds are painfully slow (Soundflow, Applescripts, etc) because they work on a track-by-track basis. Removing 80 tracks can take multiple minutes and it's faster to do it by hand.

For another opinion.

Ableton Live is another DAW. It cannot do this. How many other untruths / other realities are contained in the other comment above if I found one immediate outlier with the other DAW I primarily use?

Another opinion 2x.

Scripting is getting better and better, and depends on the script author. The official release of Scripting SDK and eventual improvements probably indicate to the reasonable that potentially, just maybe, it could get faster, one day way out there.

Be patient, but don't sit idle waiting. Instead of sitting doing a manual step for 30 min or longer, I let SoundFlow do it in 12 min while I simultaneously drink some water or whatever. It's great for me!

Not much of a DAW. It was a live performance system.
But do go on.
Most of us working don't have time for 12 mins to 30 mins just. to. delete. empty. tracks.

Since you want to keep so few tracks, another option would be to drag those that you DO want to keep so they are all at the top(EDIT window) or left(MIX window) and then you can select the first empty track, hold shift and select the last, then delete them in a single command(not knowing your experience level, when I say "select" a track, I mean click on the track's name)

Having said that, how is it that you have so many empty tracks? Understanding this might help point to an idea to help you manage your sessions more efficiently

Not one click, but one simple way to do it:

1. Switch to the Grabber Object tool.
2. Click on the ruler so that the playhead goes across all tracks.
3. Press Command-A (This will unselect all unused tracks). (Cntrl-A for Windows)
4. "Hide Selected Tracks"
5. Now select across all of the remaining tracks and Delete the tracks.
6. "Restore Previously Hidden Tracks"

Simply put, I wasn't talking about deleting empty tracks specifically in my 30 min to 12 min example.

Just giving credit where credit is due to self-customized automation compared to asking Avid for a MILLION features with a MILLION options.

I know what I want my software to do, and I have the options I can design.

Easy.

FYI, I took a few moments (useful learning experience for me as a beginner still) and created a script in SoundFlow which does quite similarly as Dizzi described (thanks for the work flow!).

However, it does happen in one keyboard shortcut, and it doesn't take minutes. Just seconds in my example. A lot of tracks might slow down, that is par for course with or without scripting.
