DIGI 01 vs TDM

I'm wondering what are the core differences between the digi01 & the TDM
version of protools apart from the huge price difference.
Is the sound Quality the same?
Are you able to run all the different plug ins?
Are all editing tools provided?
I understant there must be a difference but is it huge i'm keen to buy a system for musical purposes.

i think the LE native version is 32 bit floating point resolution mixing whereas the TDM mixer is 48 bit fixed point. without being technical (and not going over my head), the 48 bit mixer accounts for better sounding mixes. is it that big of a differnce? for small mixes, probably not that much differnce. but for more than 16 or 24 channels, its more likely to be noticable. this should not kill a mix if you record and mix accordingly. if you get a G5 1.6 gig comp. (not around just yet) you'll have something pretty powerful with the 001. but then there are aspects and plug-ins of TDM systems that were left out of LE software for marketing reasons. search for posts on this. there have been many.
