BEAT DETECTIVE

I'm wanting to beat-mix music tracks,and am currently trying to use beat detective,to try and shift the beats to the bpm of the previouse track with zero luck.Beat detective struggles to locate & cut the beats cleanly.Not a dj but still trying any suggestions or alternatives.

Yes BD does sometimes struggle unless you give him clues, so a close reading of the manual on pages 283-286 should help- the 'tips for getting useful triggers bit' esp. Also make sure that you exp. with sub beats selected and choosing whether there are 32nd notes and triplets. Try hi-emphasis and low emphasis whatever works best...it's really a matter of tweaking away until you get there sometimes. Hope that helps,

Beat Detective does work!
It may take some experimenting as Irene said but it will be worth it in the end. I had to read the manual several times and experimented with many settings before I realized its potential. It has made bad drummers acceptable and great drummers even better. I love it!
