Anybody using a Dell Inspiron 9200?

This is my first post - I've just ordered a Dell 9200 as its on the 'best laptops' list. Are there any particular tips for using the Dell - is it better to re-install Windows to get rid of all the software that comes with the factory build - are there any 'must do's' or do they generally run out of the box? Its a 2Ghz with 1GbRam so power should be more than enough for PTLE. Many thanks. Excellent forum.

Read through the Best Laptops for PTLE thread. Just go through the last month of posts and you will find some great results using this laptop. The only thing I can think of is to remember to do the DEP fix in the Windows SP2 Update thread above if you run into SP2 install issues. I usually recommend disabling any antivirus software that came with it and if you are running the Mbox you may need a powered USB hub. I think the other user disabled the networking while using PTLE also.
