I have a Hack consisting of:
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH
i7 3770k
ASUS Geforce GT 640
32 GB RAM

It was slow going, but it has been on for a month and 5 days now, running Protools 10 without any real issues.
The issues I have are stupid.

It is in another universe from my HD 4 Accel system. (Which has not been on in over two months now.)

This was going to be a gap filler computer, but I'm starting to think I may keep it over the long haul.

I am running PT 10 and 11 as well as Nuendo 6 and Wavelab 8 on 10.8.5 on my Hackintosh, it's flying and no problems whatsoever.

The Tonymac site walks you through it and it takes no time at all.
I had no issues with Kext or any other drivers.

Follow the instructions and you'll love it. There are quite a few youtube videos that are very helpful as well

My system consists of:

Intel Core i7-3770K
GA-Z77X-UP5-TH
32GB 1600Mhz DDR3 (Corsair Vengance)
ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GT 640
OWC 240 SSD Mercury Extreme Pro
Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256 gig
2x Seagate SSD Hybrid 1TB drives
Corsair AX 750W Power Supply
Corsair CPU Cooler H80i
Fractal Quiet Tower
Apple keyboard
Razor Deathadder Mouse (best mouse EVER)
SSL MadiXtreme Card

Only thing to note, for the CPU cooler to work you need to create a Windows 7 dual boot partition, configure it there and you're good to go

I would probably use Wine before I considered a dual boot operation just for configuration purposes

is this scenario happening with any other program are you experiencing any other issues with your hackintosh install?

What driver/kext program was loaded with the 002r - I probably would have used a rather old one (ie not the latest driver) b/c of PT8 / SL 10.6.8 / 002r are a rather old paring - this setup should be rock solid

I am interested in building a Hackintosh ONLY if I will have a stable system that runs PT 11 happily. I do no other tasks on my DAW computer (currently running a Mac Pro 1,1 upgraded with 2 x 3.0 GHz Xeons and 16 GB RAM) It is time to make a leap so I can upgrade to PT 11.
Has anyone successfully built a Haswell i7 processor Hackintosh with the Gigabyte board that includes Thunderbolt and works well with PT?
Thanks much!

Haswells are next gen stuff no promises on stability

I run a i7-3930k with a hack 10.8.4 and it's a charm for sure
