Also, just wondering does that apply to PT9 student upgrades too? I purchased a student upgrade from student version of PT8, will I still be entitled to a free upgrade to PT10? Thanks.

I purchased the full copy of Pro Tools 9 for students and received it sometime in January 2011, and am still awaiting my email regarding the upgrade..

apparently you'll have to purchase the Avid Complete Sympathetic Toolkit for an extra $1,000,000

There's always the chance they'll send em out after the full-version buyers I guess. I'm in no hurry, just curious if I'm eligible.
I will tell you now mind, if I'm not I'm putting money straight into Steinberg's pockets as a result.

I'm still waiting for specific information for students/academic versions of Pro Tools.

Keep in mind this is not my territory and most of the relevant staff have been at AES all weekend and are just getting back today or tomorrow. I'm sure they'll get back to me with all the pertinent info as soon as they return.
