Default Converting RTAS to Audiosuite...HELP!!

I am attempting to transfer my RTAS plug in settings to the corresponding audiosuite plug ins to improve the G5's efficiency. An error message pops up while im trying to import the RTAS settings into audiosuite that says a settings folder already has the same name. No matter what file name i assign to the settings folder, the message still returns. I am not being allowed to bounce heavily effected sessions to disk because the cpu is being overloaded and the bounce handler cannot keep up. Rather than trying to save the RTAS settings and import them into audiosuite, i also individually assigned the audiosuite plug ins the exact same settings that the RTAS plug ins had and the sound is drastically different. I made sure to process the audiosuite effects in descending order just as they appeared as RTAs and the conversion was still unsuccessful. I know that the RTAS and audiosuite plug ins are interchangeable and i need to succesfully complete these adjustments in order to complete my current project. PLEASE HELP!!!

Open the RTAS version.. and copy the settings into the clipboard and paste them into the AS version. (Command+SHIFT+C/V).

Not sure what's wrong with your system.. but you shouldn't have any problems saving and opening settings between RTAS and AS versions.

when i open the RTAS version and pull up the settings menu, i save settings...then i removed the RTAs effect but selecting no insert...then i go to audiosuite and open the same plug in and select copy settings...then i process the effects and then the error message comes up saying the file name is already used in the folder...i have even name the plug in settins "oegjvoerjofaej" for instance and this error message still appears...do i need to adjust any of the buttons in the audiosuite effects or something?...this is so frustrating becuz everyone says that this process is simple and its not allowing us to complete it

You're getting an error message when you hit PROCESS or when you SAVE A PRESET?

Which one?

What you're describing sounds to me like saving a preset. Is the issue occuring then or when you hit the PROCESS button?

Preset... setting... the same thing.. different name. You haven't answered my question. Once you save a setting in a plug-in it becomes a preset.
