Believe it or not, it's called Pitch Shift.

Naturally Ive tried using that.. seems I can only get it to change the pitch AND tempo. I just want the pitch changed.

Are you by any chance using time shift by Digidesign? Pitch shift can not by any means change the tempo of a track, TCE does that. Time shift on the other hand can change tempo and pitch or both at the same time.

Serato Pitch N' Time is great if you could get it or just get a week long liscence.

If Pitch shift is used correctly it will change the pitch without changing the tempo.

If the new (and free) Time Shift is used correctly it will change the pitch without changing the tempo (and do it very well compared to Pitch Shift).

The other programs mentioned will do it as well, but the only reason to purchase them would be if you don't like the results of Pitch Shift (which would be understandable) or Time Shift (not so understandable; this really is a good plugin).

IMHO, if you aren't sure how to do it with one of the stock plugins, you will probably have the same results with all of them, even the expensive ones.
