Default file format trouble: pls help

hi, you should know that I'm very new to PT, but I am stuck: I have a cd full of .sd2 files (but no .pt5 file) from a mac PT|24 studio that a firend sent to me, yet PTF only seems to want to read wav/aiff; he recommended using 'import from movie' or some so called option which seems nonexistent in PTF. please if someone knows how i can get at this data? sound forge will only read .sd1, any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

If they're 16Bit No problem... SoundForge, AWave & ANY program would read it... if it's 24bit there is a weird workaround:
Load up CoolEdit (Or download the shareware to see if it fits):
Load the SD2 file as a PCM Raw Data. Then convert it to it sample rate (48, 44.1) and put the bit as 32bit. When it asks you what codec use the Motorola. It works but you need the SD2 to be in PC format or to have 3rd party Mac-PC File Transfer application.
