Default Presets for Plug-Ins in PT 11

I have an iMac Core i7, running Yosemite 10.10.2, UA Apollo Twin interface with PT 11.3. When I used to use PT 10, many of the PT plug-ins (EQ, Compressor, etc.) had drop-down presets for guitar, vocal, bass, etc. No there is only a "default" option where there used to be a drop-down for presets. I thought perhaps I had to install the Air installer for PT 11, which I did, but still nothing. Are they no longer available or is there something else I need to do to have these appear?

Thanks!

Question Re: Presets for Plug-Ins in PT 11

Do you have a /Pro Tools/Plug-In Settings directory within your Documents directory?

Default Directory

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I see this directory but I notice it's all UAD folders. And this is interesting because the only UAD plugins I have are the few that came free when I bought the UA Apollo Twin Duo. How can I get what I need in this directory?

Thanks again!

The location has changed. Pre PT11 it was:

library/application support/avid(or digidesign)/plugin settings...... or something like this.

So you can just drag them from here to the now location in the Casements folder and they'll show up.

Default Still No Luck

I tried dragging old settings into the new folder, but the presets are still not showing up. I also notice that my auto-tune and isotope plugins are now not visible either in the PT 11 track drop-down windows although they still are in PT 10.

Hi

Regarding the missing plugins my guess is you haven't updated them to work in PT11. Since 11 came out Avid has changed the Plugin format from RTAS/AAX32 to AAX64 bit Only so even if the plugins work in PT10 they won't work in PT11 if they don't have the AAX64 bit installer in the installer application.

Check with the missing plugin websites and see what versions they are and make sure that you have the latest versions with AAX64 bit support. Having AAX32 bit is not enough for PT11

Best of Luck
Christopher
