Default Beat Detective Question

Question to the advanced Beat Detective users:

When editing / adjusting the slices in Beat Detective, is there a way to audition the slices like in Recycle?

I can switch to the scrub tool but I want it to play back exactly the slice. Recycle does this automatically but I cant get it to work in PT. I looked in the manual with no luck.

I just often wanna edit the slices rather by ear than by eye.

Default Re: Beat Detective Question

Mmmm, not sure what exactly you're after. Have never used re-cycle. I assume that you work on a selection of maybe 4 or 8 bars. So when you hit space PT will play that selection. So, you could listen before and after clicking conform. If you want to listen to only a particular slice, eg one kick hit, you can first hit the arrow down key (places the cursor at selection start) and then press CTRL-Tab (Mac) until the desired region is highlighted. Again, I'm not sure if this is what you are after. It actually sounds more complicated than it is. Hope this helps.

Default Re: Beat Detective Question

I will try this tomo. Thanks for the tip.

What I'm after is basically this:

Imagine you have a one bar drum loop which also has some percussion going.
Now you set Beat detectives sensitivity so that all the main transients are selected as slices. Now sometimes you might want to check if the selections have been made correctly and you might want to edit / adjust the slices yourself. In order to do so there should be a function which only plays back a slice a time so you can hear what beat detective has done.

I might not explain this very well. English is only my 2nd language.
I will try tho what you said, mabe that works.
