Mbox 2 mini not working with 10.6.3

I Just Bought A Brand New 15" Macbook Pro A Week Ago Needless To Say It Came With 10.6.3. Now I Am Having Problems With My Mbox 2 Mini. When I Plug It In Everything Seems To Be Working Properly, The Light Turns On But When I Try To Use My Speakers The Music Starts To Play Then Within Seconds They Stop Working And Any Program Associated With Playing Audio Or Accepts Audio Freezes Until The Mbox Is Unplugged Then Everything Is Fine. After Seeing That I Thought Maybe It Broken So I Went And Bought A Brand New Mbox 2 Mini And The Same Thing Happened..


Long Story Short I Have Tried Everything I've Read And Nothing Seems To Work Does Anyone Know How To Possibly Downgrade My OS Without A Hard Copy Disc Preferably A Free Way

I´'m having the exact same problem. I get sound for a couple of seconds, then it's quiet. Running (or supposed to run) Pro Tools 8.03 on OS X 10.6.3.

Also, when I go into System Preferences to change the sound settings back to the internal card to at least get sound out of iTunes, System Prefs crashes. If I disconnect the hardware I can get into the sound settings without problem.

Any clues?


Edit: I found 'The Other' thread regarding this and found a few hints. I just changed the Mbox USB port to the other one (the one closest to the user) and now everything seems to work! Very weird.
