Digidesign expansion chassi and 10.5

Am I the only one having a really hard time with 10.5 and Digidesigns own expansions chassi? We made the switch a couple of months back without noticing that the chassi was not qualified (the Magma-versions were though). And indeed, we had reoccuring problems with the host computer losing connection with the chassi, forcing PT to quit.

Now, with PT8 our chassi was explicitly qualified, so we gave it a new shot. But we still get the exact same behaviour. Typically it happens with sessions containing large amounts of audio regions on the timeline. Plug-in load seems to have lesser importance. For sessions that have reached a "critical mass", one can not operate for more than max 30 minutes at a time without having a lost connection error. Switching back to 10.4 fixes it instantly. Smaller sessions generally run fine.

Is anyone out there using Digidesigns chassi and 10.5(.6) with any success? Digi, can you confirm that this indeed is supposed to work? I've had a couple of really bad sessions with clients because of this, and it's been a very frustrating experience. Especially now that everything is supposed to officially work.
