That's great news. Looking forward to moving from Mojave. Thanks.

I finally upgraded my mac Pro to Monterey. The problem I'm having is quitting Pro Tools. I just hangs up with spinning ball. Any help would greatly be appreciated, thank.

Other than the the hangup, everything working good.

I wonder if I should try Monterey 12.6.6 ?

I'm on 12.7.1 with no issues but I don't use OCLP (which patches the OS) but rather Martin Lo's package which does not.

Avid is looking into to it.

First time ever had any problems quitting PT.

I initially started with Martin's package cause I also love the ability to open old stuff I did on tiger OS.

I'll use another SSD to run Martin's and see if I still have that problem.

THANK YOU

Default macOS 12.6.5 OCLP NOT WORKING with PT 2023.9

hey guys! so i am running OCLP (custom build) not one of the remade patcher installs, and im have lots of problems running 2023.9.

Issues:
-Runtime error. (if i recall correctly)
-AAE 9129 CPU conflicts...buffer size, tried 1024 and 64, neither helps.
-Transport does not move when trying to play or record.
-CPU peaking even when i just click on a PT window with my mouse.
-what sounds like a fast clicking on out puts 1-2 and 9-10 on the lynx, but not on the avid 96.

Has anyone tried 2023.9...should i down grade to 2023.6 or .3? is is a OS issues with OCLP?

pulling my hair out! i was about to say screw it and buy a 7,1 but i can't spent that kind of money right now.

Avid should have nothing to do with you updating the MacOS ?

Steve are going to have to run Opencore if you want to update to Monterey. Avid has nothing to do with upgrading the OS.

Hi Basslik: I know Avid doesn't by itself have anything to do with the Mac OS however it is relevant to this thread and I was hoping someone like you could point me in the right direction. Thanks for the Opencore tip - someone posted a link in this thread and I am going to download the program and hopefully acquire the Monterey OS. Based on your response above I think I'll stick with version 12.6.6. Thanks again.

-Steve
