Default No audio in bounced files

does anyone here know why whenever i would bounce the wave files into mp3 or wave, the file itself has no sound in it?

You have bounced different output/bus than you thought? Say you monitor using outputs 1-2 and the bounce window has output 3-4 assigned. Your stuff goes to outputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4 hear silence. Then the bounced file would be empty even though you would hear whatever goes to outputs 1-2 and monitored as usual.

Double-check that bounce window and I bet your problem is found right there.

And in my case... check the file before sending to a client..

Now that was a funny one....Only the reverb bus in the bounce file.

This is weird. before FINALLY updating to 11.2.1 i was able to bounce files just by choosing where to bounce and all audio would be heard. I've selected the output properly but i had to change the outputs on each track channel in order to hear the bounce (if that makes any sense).

Probably something changed in the i/o setup, that can happen.

Luckily it is easy to fix (in the i/o setup window) and then as you found out, re-selecting outputs in the mix window fixes the routing.

Did you know that holding alt key while choosing output makes it happen for all tracks?
