Thumbs down MC Control V2-Touchscreen nonresponsive

Hi,

Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 8
L2 Cache (per processor): 12 MB
Memory: 12 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MP31.006C.B05
SMC Version (system): 1.25f4

Mac OS 10.6.8

ProTools HD 10.3.0

EuCon software version 2.6.2 78202 Tuesday October 18 2011 at 9:20

Latest firmware on the MC Control.
The touchscreen is completely nonresponsive to touch. Faders work, rotary encoders work.

This is what I've done so far:

I have trashed the ProTools preferences.
I have trashed the Eucon preferences com.euphonix.EuConSystem.plist and com.euphonix.install.EuControl.plist
I have rebooted everything.
I have unchecked, then rechecked the "enable Eucon" checkmark on the Peripherals pane of the PT preferences.
I have cleaned the screen with a microfiber, with no liquids of any kind.
I have prayed to my Lord God in the original Aramaic, and in Latin, just in case.

Why is this not working any more?

Hey Nick, I'm noticing the same thing even though I have totally different hardware and OS. I think something in Protools 10.3 is causing it with regards to the Eucon protocol.

My hardware is MCControl and Mix v1 with 10.8.2.

Have you tried booting it in test mode?

Hold Bank L and Bank R and Nudge R simultaneously while powering up the unit and it will go into Test mode. You can then calibrate the touch screen (as well as checking all the switches, knobs and faders). If the touchscreen isn't registering touch there, then it will likely be a problem with the touchscreen itself...

And today it is nonresponsive again... I tried to calibrate it, but it does not respond to touch in that mode either.

Maybe it is just wanky...
