Default Sample accurate MIDI playback

This is what I need. I'm using 2 computers-1 with PT, and one with Kontakt. No program I have seen yet will do this-Logic, ProTools, Nuendo. Kontakt has a midi player built in that is bang on sample accurate, but it doesn't see tempo changes and will drift otherwise. All I want is a MIDI playback program that will be sample accurate and match up to my ProTools MIDI tracks. Any suggestions please?? Thanks.

Best regards,
Siegfried Meier

Did you even read my post??? I said I already tried ProTools. It is not sample accurate. When you have a MIDI track in PT with tempo changes throughout, and you try to play that track out to a sampler, the resulting playback is always out of sync. Some are ahead, some are late. Try using 3 of the same MIDI tracks and trigger 3 separate samples. They will all flam. It does not work. Kontakt plays the MIDI file in perfect sync, if there is no tempo changes. Is ProTools 6.1 supposed to work properly?? Thanks.

MIDI is only quarter frame accurate.. you're not going to get sample accurate MIDI. Digi and other companies are working on MIDI Time Stamping to improve the timing of MIDI data.
