How 2 fix a circle?

I know how to get a loop/circle and I can record with that. If I stop, the circle disaper. I was seeking for some words, but maybe that was wrong, the seeking machines had no answer.
For example I wil play or record from bar 8 till 12. I set the beginning and the end. I hit play or record, and than I stop, and I want to play again from 8 till 12, but the beginning and the end is gone, and I have to set it again. Is there a possibility to fix it, until I deside to change it?

If you have a selection and its looping and works then when you stop the loop point get res et or even not a loop anymore the start with Insertion follows playback as a topic to research in the reference guide, you'll find there is a button to turn that preference off and that may solve your problem.

Wonderful: "Dynamic Transport" (cmd + ctrl + P) is a solution.

The other is an option, but has some other sideeffects.
