The value of the 003 Console lies within it's ability to control and function with PT.

If Cubase is your choice this was already a bad choice of interface.

Consider it a blessing and move on.

This was my first message about this issue, dated July, 2010:

It's pretty safe to assume there will not be working asio drivers for 00x series.

Options for 00x and cubase/nuendo are: 8.0.3 or older drivers with winxp, 8.0.4 beta drivers with win7+, asio4all or working audio interface from different manufacturer.

I went with Pro Tools for many years, that's why I had the 003. Now I had the option to switch to Cubase or update to PT11. I went with Cubase out of many reasons. Should have checked first, if the 003 works with Cubase, I give you that. I just assumed it would.

..because I can't see a reason why it shouldn't.

That's really a shame, since I thought the interface was awesome. Also the control buttons on it.

But I already bought the Steinberg UR824. Works with everything thus far, even with Pro Tools.

Now I have to figure out, if my 003 console still is worth some money after 6 years.
