After these steps, my Pro Tools system is fully-functioning (002 with Mac Mini Server running Pro Tools 9.0.6; second drive for audio):

- installed PT 9
- installed PT 9.0.5
- installed PT 9.0.6

This is the first system I have run exclusively for audio, so no email or distracting apps. Just Pro Tools, soft synths, BFD, and my iTunes collection.

Cheers
You don't have to run 9.05 you can jump straight to 9.06

Default Re: Help! PT 9.0.5 won't even TRY to install on Mountain Lion

I just got a new mac min 2.3 with ML 10.8.2, I had PT 9.0.5 on my snow leopard Macbook pro. I used a time machine backup to migrate my files and apps and so far it worked well. In fact reason 4 made the transfer and seems to be running fine also.

I opened 9.0.5 on the new machine and ran the updater to get 9.0.6. I ran into a few problems with the java app trying to download the installer (had to track down a old version w/ fix for ML.) Once installed everything seems to be running well on Mountain Lion. But its a little to early to tell.

The other hiccup with the transfer was my old apogee maestro files reaked havoc on the new maestro 2 and my apogee ensemble kept saying not found. I contacted apogee(who have excellent service!) and they had me delete all the apogee files in my library and instal a special file of maestro 2. The apogee ensemble is now is recognized and works fine.

I will do some more demanding recording this weekend and report back.
