So if your dead set against getting another hard drive or two you really ought to consider getting rid of your ProTools license and use another software because your not going to have a nice experience with pro tools No hard feelings intended it's just a reality of your situation

Re: Problem with Pro Tools SE
Hello,
I have had problems with crackling noise on playback also. I turned off my wifi connection on my laptop and I think it helped so far. I am going to start saving to an external hardrive also. Got a say YYR123 -You have a lot of patience-which is good in trying to help someone. Keep it up. Dcader10 |

Re: Problem with Pro Tools SE
[QUOTE=YYR123;2038469]So Mr. left yeah it doesn't look like you have read the computer optimizations that are required for ProTools
So you have one hard drive that contains your operating system for your computer and install ProTools on that - then you have another hard drive that you save your sessions to - the record target if you will then also recommended to have a third hard drive to save your samples too That coupled with the other recommended optimizations that avid recommends are really the building blocks to having a positive experience inside of pro tools[/QUOTE I went out and bought an external hard drive, did all of the recommended optimizations and I still get the fuzzy, distorted noise half way through a recording. Any other words of wisdom to help with this issue? |
