Default PCIe 2.0 Express Firewire Card

DESKTOP PC NO LAPTOP LINKS

I know digidesign on their page of approved cards has no pcie 2.0 express cards listed but does anyone have any on their computer that work? 1.0 express OK too

i bought their SIIG PCIe card and it does not work on my motherboard, let's not turn that into the issue on this forum though, its past 30 days and i can't return it, anyone have a PCI EXPRESS 2.0 OR 1.0 Firewire Card That is currently working on their RIG pls post link thx

pyro card is PCI - my motherboard does not have that old slot - i have PCI-e PCI-express 2.0 (yes 1.0 works fine too)

i need links with what you have that works for PCI-e or PCI-express 1.0 or 2.0

Sorry if I'm uninformed... but PCI Express is the card slot on a laptop, PCI is the slot on a PC, and I've never heard of PCIe 2.0 for anything other than a graphics card.... but I might be wrong!

Lap Tops = Expresscard

Newer Macs and some PC's = PCIe AKA PCI express. All cards I have seen are PCIe x1 cards.

Older PCs = 32 bit PCI

Right, two different Texas Instrument PCIe firewire 400 cards working very well here. Every non TI card I have tried threw errors.

I use the ADS Pyro, pci express card adapter. It works great with PT. http://www.amazon.com/ADS-1394b-2-Po...058720&sr=8-17

It shouldn't make any difference if the card or slot is PCIe 2.0 or not since the PCIe 2.0 spec itself is backwards compatible. Any of the Digi approved PCIe cards should work just fine.

I had a ADS Pyro PCIe x1 card that worked. I don't have the exact model number but they where 69.00 at Microcenter.
