Default DAE error 87?

Anyone have any idea what this error refers to? I started getting it today on my Windows XP Mbox system -- which had been working fine to date. Every time I hit playback, on any session, I get this message. The only reference I've been able to find on the web to DAE error 87 dates back to 2000, and at the time seemed to refer to either 24-bit playback from an IDE drive (irrelevant in my case), or a fragmented SCSI drive (also irrelevant). BTW, I'm running on a Dell Latitude C840 laptop with 512 MB of RAM, and all my media is on a Lacie 250 gig FW drive. Thanks for any feedback ...
