Default PT9 Eleven Rack & Delta 1010lt

Hello geniuses,

Question... I have PT9. I have just started getting into it and I want to be able to use my Eleven Rack along with my Delta 1010lt sound card.

Do I need to run the Eleven Rack into the S/PDIF input of the 1010lt?

Can I run them both at the same time?

Can I run multiple 1010lt cards at the same time?

I'd like to be able to do all the Eleven Rack things I have in the past, using the pro-tools control window, ect...

Help...

Default Re: PT9 Eleven Rack & Delta 1010lt

I have almost the same set-up...I use the DELTA 1010 rack version. Way cleaner and easier to use IMO.

Here's my 2 cents:

Do I need to run the Eleven Rack into the S/PDIF input of the 1010lt?

You can if you if you want though you don't need to. I just plug a 1/4" jack out of the 11R right into my Delta 1010. I can record anything even a dry track (assuming that's what you were looking to do). Still, if you want to run S/PDIF, be sure to swap the I/O connectors (out to in, in to out) and make sure the I/O's are set properly in PT9. You should be fine.

Can I run them both at the same time?

No, only 1 interface at a time. Cool thing is about PT9 you can easily switch interfaces. Go to "SETUP, then "PLAYBACK ENGINE", select your hardware, click ok and then yes to re-open your session - really easy and very convenient. I use to have to use both MP8 & LE8, which sucked trying to go from all my synths back to my 11R.

Can I run multiple 1010lt cards at the same time?

Kinda ties to your last question. As mentioned, you can only run 1 interface at a time so no.

Hope this helps.

Take it ease...
