Default STRIKE - import midi files? Real-Time Feel Intepretation

WOW, all I can say is WOW.

I am a serious drm programmer and Strike in my opinion is as evolutionary (as the top of the pile in it's class) as the 808, 909, MPC etc...

The Strongest feature are the midi performance variables, ie: feel, hit randomizer etc...

Here's my main concern of point of focus:

The library it comes with is obviously very good as easy to use.
However, as with any truly creative instrument, it's true
value it in the ability for us to create our OWN patterns.

Here's the catch 22. Is there any way to allow us to write our own parts,
and either import them into strike (so as to have 'feel' & 'intensity' elements to come into play
OR for it to real-time interpret a midi part from within a session (say the hi hat for example)
and intelligently be able to add elements of feel and complexity as determinded in the same way
as per the internal banks?

pls advise.

From what I understand, you can write your own parts within the STYLE editor, and essentially create your own beat patterns. Then you can compose a song with the editor using your custom patterns.

You can't import other sounds, or loops into STRIKE. You have to rely on the program sounds. My feeling is that once I get to start using it (I'm having problems with it... sound drops out), then you can edit it so well (using the mixer, the effects, the stuff you mentioned above), that you can carve good sounds from what we have to work with.
