Scroll-bug still present in PT7.1cs8
Hi,
we are currently mixing from a PT7.1 rig. PT in TC chase. Master is a soundmaster controller. Unfortunately PT7.1 still seems to show the scroll-bug behavior I only know from PT6.9.x. PT will not scroll the screen if you rewind the master beyond the viewable timeline of PT. Itīs pretty annoying for the mixer and the editor because one of the two always has to manually press R or T or click in the timeline to forece PT the catch up with the page scrolling. Iīd highly appreciate a fix for this. Frank. P.S.: At the moment the only work-around is to work in continuous scroll with playhead mode but some mixers do not like this view.

Re: Scroll-bug still present in PT7.1cs8
I wanted to emphasize how annoying this scroll-bug is after 6 weeks of mixing and constantly hand-forcing PT to scroll after a long rewind. Iīd highly appreciate a fix for this. Since PTīs graphis are so low-contrast (light coloured clips with slightly darker waveforms) on snow-white timeline itīs rather hard to see if PT is actually playing in sync and not scrolling or if itīs not locking.
Take a look at the new 64-track-dubber from Harrison. THATīs what I would call a easy to read timeline. Please make the colours user-adjustable. On a dark dubbing-stage a snow-white timeline is extremely blinding in contrast to the screen where your film is running. Iīd rather be willing to pay for some ergonomic improvements in PT than for another 200bits etc. Thanks for listening. frank.

Re: Scroll-bug still present in PT7.1cs8
I agree with the annoyingness.
I find that pressing Down-arrow or Up-arrow (to make selection, depending on forwards or backwards movement) then pressing Left-arrow does the trick better than R and T. matt |

Re: Scroll-bug still present in PT7.1cs8
Thanks for the tip. R and T donīt help, yes. Normally the only trick that helpped here is to click ionto the timeline somewhere close to the cursor and then R or T. Iīll try up down. The most annoying thing about this is the fact that an operator ALWAYS has to sit at the DAW and "hand-scroll". As soon as the editor (me) has to dig out new music on a second rig off-stage an assistant has to come in to do the "hand-scrolling". Pretty embarassing on a 50-million-euro-production.
frank.
