Studio Bass Traps Etc...
Hey Kids,
Well, it's time for a studio environment upgrade. Frankly, I like Auralex foam, but wondered if there are better bass trap/ sound enhancing wall treatment alternatives available. I've got about 500.00 spare at the moment and want to begin with that. My mixing room is small. 9x14 with 8 foot ceiling. The mixing desk faces a wall with a center (double hung) window dead center. There is a (shelf) of sorts that goes all the way around the room about 4ft off the ground. This is really just a short wall that sticks out from the maim wall and is covered brick. (covered in drywall). There is a soffit that spans the width of the room roughly 10 feet back from the front wall and hangs down about a foot from the drywall covered ceiling. Directly behind the listening position is a closet with sliding doors that meet in the middle about 7 feet wide. I've been to heaps of forums about room mods, but wondered what everone "else" is talking about. Would love to hear from the lot of you~ Cheers! ~J
