Default Korg Triton...

Hi

My band is at a stage where we need some sort of workstation to be able to create our sound live (playing samples, synth sounds etc...) and having had a look around I think the Korg Trition would be the best option. Does anyone agree/disagree? Is there anything better I should look into.

I have the Trinity, which is great for some things, not so great for others (Korg's acoustic pianos are lacking), but I wish I'd waited because the Triton is the best sounding KB I've ever heard...I was immediately blown away. Of course how applicable to your situation it might be is dependant on what kind of music you do.

I'd check out everything before dropping that kind of cash...the Roland XP/JV series might be a good place to start, and I kind of lean towards the Alesis Q series as good all-around keyboards. I wish I could afford a Kurzweil.

I have a Triton and I love it. I have had it for a year and a half now and I use it all the time. Just a word of caution. The sounds are a little lacking while you are in the Sequencer because they don't have any effects on them. They are still great but not as good as they are in Program or Combination. Also, hold off for a little and check out the new Korg Karma. It looks like its going to be great. Its going to be cheaper than the Triton and have a lot of the same features. Go to the Korg's site and take and look.
