003 mixes on Law and Order: Criminal Intent
Two songs, co-written by me, and recorded/mixed/mastered at my beloved Happyland Studio, will be featured in an episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, premiering Sunday, 7/13/08, 9pm, on USA Network.
The episode, "Reunion," features a cameo by Joan Jett, who's character is the host of an "I survived the 80's" type TV show. One of the songs will be on her TV show. She is the murder victim. The main song, which was written especially for the episode, is the song the main suspect (Michael Massee)is recording, as his character is an aging rocker, attempting a comeback with a big world peace/save the children opus. Both songs were recorded using PTLE 7.3cs6, and a Digi003. My point (aside from a bit of shameless bell ringing and self promotion) is that PTLE/003 setups can work wonders. BTW- The money was absurdly good!

I'm not allowed to post the song until after the episode airs.
They also made us 2 versions of full length music videos of the main song, which we can do whatever we want with after the air date.

Congrats!! Always good to hear someone making some headway in the music biz!!
Point is well taken about LE systems, a very good friend recorded the upcoming Soulfly CD (July 29th) on a 002 setup. The first release is up on their website. OK, so he used a Trident board for the head end but it was still recorded to an 002...
