HD 92 I/O interface question?
Hi,
Could I be creating a possible heat exposure problem for the 92 I/O interface by having it on top of my tube pre amp in the rack set up? |

Re: HD 92 I/O interface question?
I always leave a space above each rackmounted power amp, airflow is the best insurance against overheating. I don't have any tube pres in my system but imagine the same logic applies. I doubt there's any hazard to the 192 I/O, but I'd be concerned about the tube pre. If your preamp generates enough heat that it raises a question in your mind then I'd leave space between the units regardless of whether the preamp has external heat sinks - I wouldn't chance overheating the preamp and frying some of its components.
