Adat optical question
Does anyone knoe if DT-16, a format intended to support 16-bit Type I ADAT devices is compatible with the optical in and outs on the 001? I assumed all adat optical connections were the same capable of 8 track transfer up to 48khz/24bit.

The "ADAT optical" protocol (by Alesis ) is universal and solid. Units with that designation should talk to each other. I've experienced only one incompatibility situation out of the many over the years. My Fostex D2424 would only communicate one way with a Spectral Translator. just plug in and see happy tooling,
