Default upgrading current configuration...

so, if all of a sudden my digi 002r is not enough for me and i need more I/O, what do you guys suggest? adding another 002r? and how is this done? via firewire?

you can't use more then one 002 on a computer. look in to the presonus digimax, it will give you an additional 8 inputs

thanks buddy, I have checked the prices, and they are a bit more than I can afford...any other similar but cheaper solution? is firepod compatible with 002r? if not, i guess i will have to start putting some money aside, because digimax lt sure does look like a killer product!

Basically, NO Firewire interface is useful as expansion for the 002 or 002R, except via the ADAT ports. ProTools will only talk to a Digidesign interface, and only ONE at a time. Any added ports need to be connected via the ADAT optical port or the S/PDIF port.

When you say you need more I/O, do you mean just line level, or mic inputs? The two best deals for getting 8 more mic inputs are the Presonus DigimaxLT ($800) and the M-Audio Octane ($600)

thanks for the info, I would like to have both line level and mic inputs, just like the digi 002..i'll see what i can find for up to 800 $, now at least i know what i need
