But one last time

You are still confusing possible potential issues (which yes are obviously real and do happen to people on occasion ) with your TOTALLY subjective personal mis perception that that occasional possibility, some how equals the USB stick being "not practical" or "annoying" --in anything but your personal subjective opinion
Again It's not the objective reality of possible issues that is subjective --- It's your perception that somehow those potential possibilities, make the USB option "not practical" or annoying", which is in point or fact , a totally subjective personal perception only .

BTW Nothing prevents one form having a second iLok with all your licenses on it ready to go, if you happen to lose the first one ....

I know people who have lost their car keys (yep just another dongle ) , that ABSOLUTELY does not objectively mean that car keys are "not practical" or are "annoying".

Actually those car fobs are awful…at least my experience with them. I’d MUCH rather have keys, but…

I kind of like the iLok system. It’s a pain sometimes to activate new software sometimes, but having used them since 2000 or so have had only one issue, rectified rather quickly. I’d just as soon keep them.

I've been a lurker for years but I'll have to speak up now to mention that iLok has been great for me. When I had to first buy a iLok long ago I thought, what the heck is the stupid thing? But it's really a great way to have all info in one place, with the added plus that (with a physical iLok) you can, if you need to, -- abracadabra -- have all your authentications on a different computer just by moving your iLok!

Well I prefer fob because with mine I am able to keep it in my pants front pocket and can start , stop, lock, and unlock, the car with never having to take it out of my pocket

But::
To clarify keys or fob are both equally subject to loss, and are both relatively good practical solutions to operate a car

Back to the OP and title---- iLok going away anytime soon is a pipe dream , toke up and move on

Not asking for ilok to go away
Asking for ilok to fix the single sign-on using same cloud account when multiple licenses are deposited
And asking to not call home every second and kick you out the minute you lose internet
And asking to be able to authorize your computer as you can with other software suing ilok.

That’s all. Keep it. But please improve it and update it. That’s all.
