I lost my faith in Serato when Rane Series didn't make it past TDM and now I am just glad I didn't buy PnT

ElastiqueAAX seems like a contender.
Except that ElastiqueAAX is like the only plugin in Zplane's lineup that has not been updated to Apple Silicon, so at the moment, it's in the same predicament as PnT.

When Pitch N Time came out it really was the only 'game in town' Like SoundToys Speed PnT will probably never be updated. Today there are so many different plugins that can do what PnT does and they do it as good if not better. Gone are the days having to timing separately from tuning it's all done in one plugin these days Melodyne SynchroArts Antartes all have it.

But most of the alternatives sound terrible on dialogue. And don't work with the trimmer tool. TCE Legacy and PnT Pro are still my favorite. Even though they're comparatively old as dirt.

You don't know what you missed.
The decision to discontinue Rane Series was a bad move I agree, PnT is still a f***ing good PI, period.

Curious, which are better than PnT?

I haven't found anything that does the job as well as PnT.

The more I use Melodyne the more I'm finding it to be a reasonable substitute for PnT. At least for spoken word. While I agree PnT does sound the best for speech it doesn't seem they're going to be updating the plugin. Every response I've gotten from Serato has basically said it's not in the plans.

Serato are such ass holes. Basically pulled a cash grab on us. Charged us an outrageous price for their plugin, only to abandon us. It was like pulling teeth with them just to get them to 64-bit the plugin. They built their reputation on Pitch N Time. Show some pride in your product. Don't just cater to consumers who wanna cue up MP3s and call themselves a DJ.

It was certainly the most expensive plugin I ever bought and it is quite poor that it will probably never make Silicon Native.
